Organize pages
This page covers finding pages and the everyday actions you take on them. For the bigger organizing tools, see:

An open page has a row of icons in its header and a ••• menu.

In a page list, each row has its own menu with Open in new tab, Copy link, Make a copy, Lock, Make private or Make public, Archive, and Delete. You can also right-click a row.
Find pages
Project and teamspace page lists
A project's Pages section has three tabs: Public, Private, and Archived. Teamspaces have Public and Archived only.
- Search matches page titles, not page content.
- Sort by Name, Date created, or Date modified, ascending or descending.
- Filters narrow the list by Favorites, Created date, Created by, and Labels.
Plane remembers your sort and filters in this browser.
The wiki
Browse the wiki sidebar, or open a collection or sidebar section to get a searchable, filterable list.
Everywhere
Use the command menu (Cmd + K on Mac, Ctrl + K on Windows) to search pages across the workspace.
Favorite a page
Click the star in the page header, or press Shift + F. Favorites are personal. They don't change who can see the page.
Favorited pages show first in project page lists, match the Favorites filter, and appear in the wiki sidebar's Favorites section. Archiving a page removes it from everyone's favorites.
Move a page Pro
Moving puts a page in a different place in the workspace.
- Click the Move page icon in the page header.
- Search for the destination. Depending on where the page is now, you can pick another project, a teamspace, the wiki, or a specific wiki collection.
- Click Move.
What moves and what changes:
- The page's nested pages move with it.
- If the page was nested, it's detached from its parent and becomes a top-level page in the destination.
- Moving a page out of the wiki removes it from its collection and removes any shares on it.
- If you move a page into a wiki collection and it can't be added to that collection, the page still moves to the wiki and stays in General.
A page can't be moved while it's locked or archived. Private and shared pages can't be moved to a teamspace, because teamspace pages are always public. Make the page public first.
Page owners can always move their pages. Project and workspace Admins, and teamspace leads for teamspace pages, can move any page they can see.
Duplicate a page
Choose Make a copy from the ••• menu. Plane copies the page, all of its nested pages, and their images and attachments. Each copy gets " (Copy)" added to its title, and you become the owner of the copies. The copy stays in the same project, teamspace, or collection as the original.
Editing the copy doesn't change the original. Only the owner of a private page can duplicate it.
Archive a page
Choose Archive from the ••• menu, or press Shift + R. The page moves to the Archived tab or section. Archiving also:
- archives all of its nested pages
- unpublishes it if it was published
- removes it from everyone's favorites
Archived pages are read-only.
To bring a page back, open it and choose Restore. Its nested pages come back with it. You can't restore a nested page while its parent is still archived. Plane tells you so and offers Go to parent page, where you can restore the parent instead.
Page owners can always archive and restore their pages. Admins can archive any page, and so can teamspace leads for teamspace pages.
Delete a page
A page has to be archived before you can delete it. Open the archived page, choose Delete from the ••• menu, and confirm. Deleting is permanent.
What happens to nested pages depends on where the page lives:
- Wiki pages. The page and all of its nested pages are deleted.
- Project and teamspace pages. Only the page is deleted. Its nested pages stay as top-level pages in the Archived tab.
If you'd rather keep a copy, export the page first.
Keyboard shortcuts
These work while a page is open. On Windows and Linux, use Ctrl in place of Cmd.
